It’s that time of year
when we start thinking about where we’ve been where we are and where we want to
go. We ask ourselves; are we happy, is
this all there is, what more do we want, rather than thinking about the real
stuff. We forget to give thanks for how
fortunate we are to be here, to have this experience we call life, to have people
in our lives, some who give us joy and others who teach us lessons.
Giving thanks for each
challenge we’ve experienced, for each achievement we’ve obtained is the key to
understanding and acknowledging happiness.
It is the force that keeps us going.
Below is a great
passage by C. JoyBell C., a reminder that we should never give up and in doing
so, we will be prepared for that which is yet to come.
"One day you're going to miss the subway
because it's not going to come. One of these days, it's going to break down and
it's not going to come around, don’t be the kind of person who waits for the
next one to come.”
“Let go, you've got to know that when things don't happen the way you think they're going to happen, there's always the bus, there's always the next station...you can always take a cab.”
- C. JoyBell C.
