I Smell Spring

“I can still bring into my body the joy I felt at seeing the first trillium of spring,
which seemed to be telling me, "Never give up hope, spring will come.”

Up In The Air

"Up in the air- A l'aire"
Montse

“Life is a repeated cycle of getting lost and then finding yourself again.
There are many smaller cycles within that cycle where
you get lost to a smaller degree and then remember yourself again.
Sometimes you do it to yourself on purpose, consciously or unconsciously.
Every time you get lost it is so that you can learn something
or experience something from a different perspective.”

Smile

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.
These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life's pathway,
the good they do is inconceivable.”

Passion

…the indestructible force of energy that prevails when someone

…tells us something can’t be done and we do it anyway
…advises that the goal is too high and we surpass it
…places an obstacle in front of us and we power through it
…challenges us, dares us, defies us or worst of all, underestimates us

“Passion is the deliberate force of energy that transforms
superfluous energy and pent up frustration
into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.”

Musketeers

“This world is an uncertain realm, filled with danger.
Honor undermined by the pursuit of power,
freedom sacrificed when the weak are oppressed by the strong.

But there are those who oppose these powerful forces,
who dedicate their lives to truth, honor, and freedom.
These people are known as Musketeers.
Rise, D'Artagnan, and join them!”

Integrity

“Needle”
Vladimir Katiev

Employee + Corporate Culture = Mutually Beneficial Relationship
Three key qualities to look for in a target organization include
integrity, intelligence, and energy.
If the first is lacking in the organization’s DNA,
know that the other two will kill you.
If you think about it; it’s true.
The foundation of any mutually beneficial relationship
requires integrity of behalf of its key constituents;
integrity is the key factor that ensures happiness and success.”

Composition inspired by a quote from Warren Buffet,
experienced through the lens of a job seeker.

War

Redemption
Terry Donnelly

Sometimes there exists a struggle within. It is a battle between you, yourself and the Universe.

“Never think that war is a good thing, grandchildren.
Though it may be necessary at times to defend our beliefs.
War is a sickness that must be cured.
War is a time out of balance.
When it is truly over, we must strive to restore peace
and enjoy sacred harmony once again.”
- Joseph Bruchac, “Code Talker”

“Know thyself. Win the war.”

Anticipating Spring

"Still Life #4"
Rene Greiner
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees,
just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction
that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

An Expression of Gratitude to WordPress on Thanksgiving 2014

This One's for you WordPress

WordPress
Take Down

The Voice of Humanity
It is the time of year when we take pause and give thanks.  In America, we call it Thanksgiving.  This year I was tormented by a Cyberbully who’s post had a significant impact on my livelihood and the health and well being of my family whom I support with all my heart.  We are losing our father, the man who cared for us all our lives.  He has dementia and is slowly passing away.  The impact the blog had was devastating and compromised the health and safety of my father’s last few memories of this life.

I was fortunate enough to be on Chat with an empathetic support engineer and told him the story.  WordPress heard my voice and took down the blog.  Our family will forever be grateful to this magnificent company.
Thank You WordPress, we love you!  This post is for you.

"People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down
by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”
- Kent M. Keith

My Father - 2010

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
